What Non-Custodial Means
When you use BaseZap, you remain in full control of your funds at every step:- You connect your own wallet. BaseZap never stores, reads, or has access to your private keys. Your keys stay in your wallet — always.
- You approve every transaction yourself. Nothing moves without your explicit confirmation in your wallet.
- Funds move directly from your wallet to the recipient’s wallet. There is no BaseZap account, pool, or intermediary that your funds pass through.
- BaseZap cannot reverse, cancel, or block transactions once signed. After you confirm a transaction in your wallet, it is final and settled on-chain.
For Tips
When you send a USDC tip through BaseZap, the transaction is a direct on-chain transfer:- USDC moves directly from your wallet to the recipient’s wallet in a single transaction.
- The 2% platform fee is sent to the fee wallet at the same time — in the same transaction, not after.
- There is no intermediate escrow, holding period, or pending state. The transfer settles on Base mainnet immediately.
For VVV Staking
BaseZap surfaces Venice AI’s VVV staking inside the app, and the same non-custodial principles apply:- You control both the approve and stake steps — each requires your confirmation in your wallet.
- VVV staking is handled entirely by Venice AI’s own smart contracts on Base.
- BaseZap never holds, receives, or intermediates your VVV tokens at any point.
Because transactions are on-chain and non-custodial, they cannot be reversed. Always verify the recipient before confirming.
